If I make it to be 80,
I want to terrorize the land.
I want to kick children
And tell them to get off
My property when I
Don’t own any land of
Any Kind
I want to drive an old
Lincoln around all day
With my blinker on and
I want to complain about
Modern technology and
New trends
I want to be confused and have
That feeling of helplessness
I don’t ever want to hear from
Grandkids or any other family
I want to sit around all day eating
Applesauce and pills
I wasn’t to move to Florida and
Feed pigeons at a park on a bench
I want to get the senior discount at
Kroger’s every Wednesday
When I’m 80 I want walk around hunched
Over with a cane in my left hand and
Go really slow in a busy crowd just
To make people mad
I wasn’t to take my time with everything
And I want to lose my hearing so I
Can’t hear “youngsters” make fun of me
I want to wear suspenders with my
Pants up to my old hairy chest with a
Tucked in flannel shirt
But with my luck
I’ll die when I’m 79.
